La Tejas

inspired by the Farnaese Palace near Rome
Las Tejas was purchased in 1917, and the villa designed and built shortly thereafter. After successive owners, the true potential of the estate was realized in the late 1980s when it was extensively restored, renovated, and its infrastructure modernized.
Joyce Rey respresented and sold this historic Montecito Landmark Estate twice - each time achieving the highest sale as of that date in Santa Barbara real estate.

The estate of famed film comedian
Harold Lloyd
Called "the most impressive movie star's estate ever created," Greenacres occupied 16 acres above Benedict Canyon. Completed in 1927, the original estate included a 42-room mansion, outbuildings, golf course, canoe lake, and 12 themed gardens. After Lloyd's death in 1971, it was sold and subdivided. The mansion and remaining grounds were first bought and restored in 1979, and again in 1986.
