I cannot wait to see my dear friend Chris Franciosa in the West Coast premiere of “The Bridge Club”. Check out details below! Opening night is going to be fabulous. Chris is an incredible writer and director, and just so happens to be the father of my Godsons.
“The Bridge Club” comes to Los Angeles!
We’re thrilled to announce that the West Coast premiere of “The Bridge Club” is set for April 20th, 2012, at the Antaeus/Deaf West Theater in North Hollywood’s Arts District. Located at 5112 Lankersheim Boulevard, just south of Magnolia, the Deaf West/Antaeus is a wonderful and very respected small theater and a great place to see a play.
Simon Productions and Steven B. Simon and Jill Martin are Executive Producers, Michael Sabatino is set to direct, Racquel Lehrman is Consulting Producer, and Nora Feldman is handling publicity.
The first four performances, on the opening weekend, will all be gala special events. With opening night on Friday, April 20th, there will be matinee and evening performances on Saturday, April 21st, and there is a matinee on Sunday, April 22nd. These special performances will include a reception before the play that includes food and drinks, a “meet and greet” with the playwright Richard Raskind, and a special after show discussion with the playwright and director.
There will also be two more weeks of performances on a slightly different schedule that end May 6th, so the run is a short one. With a limited run in a small theater it is suggested for all to act quickly to secure tickets. Space is very limited.
“The Bridge Club” debuted in Philadelphia last May, on Society Hill Playhouse’s main stage, where it garnered uniformly enthusiastic reviews including a “Critic’s Choice” from the Philadelphia Inquirer.
Tickets and a schedule of all performances are available at plays411, telephone number 323-960-7711, or at plays411.com/bridgeclub.
