What an absolute tragic and unforeseen loss to the world of groundbreaking architecture. Renowned Iraqi-born British female architect Zaha Hadid passed unexpectedly in Miami after being hospitalized for bronchitis and ultimately suffering a heart attack. I have highlighted her incredible work on my blog many, many times and have been so inspired by a true pioneer of her craft.
Although your presence will be missed, your work will continue to live on. My sentiments to all impacted by her passing. Here are 3 representations of her most beautiful work. The first two are of the Heydar Aliyev Center in Baku, Azerbaijan and the third is a suggested rendering for the Japan Olympics in 2020.
