LA Curbed Covers Art Linkletter Estate

art linkletter estate Joyce Rey is the leader in Beverly Hills Luxury Real EstateHave you seen my listing on LA Curbed? How exciting!

“We bet kids would have some pretty darnedish (?) things to say about the high SoCal mid-century modernism of this house, owned for decades by Kids Say the Darndest Things pioneer (and Game of Life enthusiast) Art Linkletter. Linkletter died in 2010 and now, after 40 years, his estate is selling off his Philmer J. Ellerbroek-designed house, reports the Real Estalker. The five-bedroom, five and a half-bath property was featured in Architectural Digest in 1959, according to its listing, and includes a dining room, breakfast room, pool, sports court, two atriums, “sculptural metal screens,” stone fireplaces, builts-ins, and parking for at least 20. The listing is a big tease, showing only (pretty good looking) exterior photos, so who knows what’s going on inside, but the house sits on a whopping 4.6 acres in Bel Air, which could help justify the $10.25 million listing price either way.”
