Coldwell Banker Community Foundation Gives Hope a Home in Southern California
Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage is not just in the business of helping people find homes; we are also in the business of helping people find hope. That is why our company created the Coldwell Banker Community Foundation in 2005. The Foundation is designed to combine the resources of our company’s agents, staff and affiliates and direct financial contributions and volunteerism throughout our community. Today, it has raised over $700,000, helping 178 charitable organizations throughout Southern California.
“I am always moved by the support and participation from our agents,” said Lori Ramirez, branch manager in Los Feliz, who has served as the Foundation’s Chairperson for the last two years. “I have seen agents haul canned foods in their own cars and agents volunteer at homeless shelters. Each year always seems to be better than the last, whether it’s the number of agents participating or the funds we are able to raise. I am also proud to say that all funds we raise go to these organizations.”
Examples of giving back are not difficult to find within our company, as many of our offices contribute throughout the year. The Beverly Hills South office recently hosted their annual fundraiser on August 2—an exclusive prescreening of “The Bourne Legacy” at The Grove, which raised over $30,000. In the past, this branch office has also organized “white elephant” parties, bingo events, raffles and pancake breakfasts. In Arcadia, our local branch office hosts an annual pancake breakfast fundraiser, while the Studio City office hosts an Art Walk fundraiser. In Pasadena, Coldwell Banker agents host a Valentine’s Day Bake Sale fundraiser.
These examples illustrate how deeply Coldwell Banker cares about bringing hope to our local communities. We will continue to support local organizations throughout Southern California that help people in need.
