Recently I blogged about the landmark Beverly Gardens Park and its preservation association. The 1.9 mile linear stretch of gardens spans the length of the city, separating the commercial district from the residential neighborhood. It also acts as the city’s public facade along Santa Monica Boulevard, one of Southern California’s most highly traveled routes.
A few weeks ago I attended a fabulous affair called “Dress For Speed” in celebration of the planned rejuvenation of Beverly Gardens Park. This also includes the grand reopening of the Beverly Hills Garage with exclusive viewing to Bruce Meyer’s private collection of classic and race cars.
The beautiful car I am sitting in front of is a 1957 Ferrari Testa Rosa, originally driven by race car driver John Von Neumann! It is in such perfect condition, you would almost think it was brand new.
