This month I am excited to showcase a longtime friend and very talented architect, Grant Kirkpatrick. You would be fortunate indeed to work with one of the leading visionaries of today’s architectural world.
Grant Kirkpatrick is an award winning contemporary architect with over 30 years in the industry. He founded “Kirkpatrick Associates Architects” in 1988, a few years after earning his Bachelor of Architecture degree at USC. His firm’s work has been extensively published in over 30 design magazines and books including Architectural Digest, House Beautiful, New York Times, LA Times, Coastal Living, Sunset Magazine, and The Robb Report. A third generation Californian, Grant draws his energy and inspiration from his home state’s progressive ideals and optimistic embrace of the new. In addition to designing beautiful residential homes and award winning commercial projects he has also developed a comprehensive line of outdoor furniture for Design Within Reach and a line of prefab homes. Community service and academics are a core part of Kirkpatrick’s practice. He serves on the Board of Directors for ArtworxLA and the Board of Councilors for the USC School of Architecture. Kirkpatrick teaches at the annual XED Executive Education Program at USC and frequently lectures on topics surrounding Southern California residential architecture.
