One of my favorite weeks of the year is the fabulous Monterey Classic Car Week which attracts the World’s most important car enthusiasts. From the exciting auctions where the cars bring anywhere from 16-30 million dollars to the beautiful display of cars everywhere to the Laguna Seca Raceway (Congratulations Merle & Peter Mullin) or the 65th Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance every moment is packed with interesting people and fantastic events. You never stop learning about the car industry and its fascinating history. I have just learned about the top winner of the Concours on Sunday. Each year awards are given to the best of each classification of cars according to the date of their production with just one of those cars being selected overall Best in Show. This year the Best in Show went to a 1924 Isotta Fraschini Tipo 8A . A gem of a car belonging to Jim Patterson Collection of Louisville, Kentucky. Today’s win was a fitting tribute to this nearly 90 year old car.
Below are some more photos of some of these beautiful cars on display over the weekend. What a fabulous time!
